Soon Y. Warren was born in South Korea and emigrated to the United States in 1987. Soon's favorite subjects are the beautiful plants and flowers she finds around her, often flowers from her own gardens. Typically, these will be found in crystal vases and bowls, and her intricate brushwork brings both the flowers and their containers into sharp focus.
Since Soon began painting full-time in 1998, she has had many exhibitions and earned numerous awards. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society, the Society of Watercolor Artists, and the Texas Watercolor Society-Purple Sagebrush Society. Her paintings were published in the companion books for the 2005 and 2006 competitions sponsored by Watercolor Artist Magazine and Artist's Magazine. She is one of the featured artists in the books Splash 8: Watercolor Discoveries and Splash 10: Passionate Brushstrokes. Soon Y. is also the author of Painting Vibrant Flowers in Watercolor.
